Born in 1967 in the city of Kawasaki in Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduate of the Nihon University College of Art. Active in the conception and design of digital content, children's books, advertising, video, toys, and others. Representative work includes graphic design for the art unit Maywa Denki and the PlayStation game "I.Q. Intelligent Qube" (marketed in Europe as "Kurushi"). A line of toys called Pontiki is sold in such outlets as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and Colette in Paris. He is the recipient of awards that include the Excellence Award in the Japan Media Arts Festival sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan and a Silver Award from the New York Art Directors Club.
